The Maxibright Focus Connect has been designed as a compact, full fixture unit to bathe your canopy in an intense full spectrum light, giving you strong healthy plants that deliver huge, amazing tasting fruits and crops. This reflector has been designed to give an incredibly even 1.2m x 1.2m footprint, pushing every bit of goodness from your CDM lamp on to your plants. It’s designed to pair with the Maxibright Daylight 315w CDM Ballast which easily and securely screws on to the plate attached to the reflector, offering you a compact and powerful source of full spectrum light. In our tests, the heat produced by the ballast is minimal, and less than you would expect from a similar wattage digital HPS ballast, making it a great choice for those with temperature issues.

How the Maxibright Focus Connect Reflector works:

The Focus connect reflector has been specifically designed to deliver an even, square spread of high intensity light down to your canopy, it’s incredibly well designed, and offers one of the best ‘light on target’ ratings of any competitive reflector, rivaling that of even the Sunlight Supply LEC but at a lower cost.

You also have the option of the Focus Remote Reflector, with exactly the same design as the Focus Connect but with no plate for the ballast to attach to, this is designed for people who want all the incredible benefits of the focus reflector but with a remote ballast.

How to use the Maxibright Focus Connect Reflector:

Simply hang the reflector over the centre of the grow-space at an appropriate height using easy rolls, rope ratchet hangers or jack chain. Always screw the lamp into the lamp-holder in your reflector as tightly as possible by gripping the lamp with a clean, dry cloth. If the lamp is not screwed in as tightly as possible, arcing can occur between the centre contact of the lamp and the lamp-holder. This melts the solder contact on the bottom of the lamp, causing damage and making it un-usable. Make sure that the lamp is clean and completely free of fingerprints and other contaminants. Finally, make sure that your reflector is hung at the correct height.

PLEASE NOTE: The 315w CDM lamps need to be bedded in as follows: on first illumination the lamp needs to be run continuously for a minimum of 15 minutes. This will allow the metals within the lamp to fuse correctly.

Warning: When CDM HID (High Intensity Discharge) lamps are switched on they run extremely hot. As with all HID lamps it is necessary to avoid touching the lamp with anything such as fingers or plants as this may cause severe burns or fires. In particular, avoid sprays or liquids coming into contact with the lamp as this may cause premature failure or even an explosion.
